Emergency crews were called to the Wonderland Fun Fest at Shailer Park in Logan about 7:30pm on Saturday after multiple reports of a silver BMW being driven through the carnival. Horrified attendees were forced to jump out of the way as the car drove dangerously close to patrons and attractions.

Patrons intervene, police arrest driver

Attendees managed to stop the car and held the driver until police arrived. Police confirmed a woman in her 40s was taken into custody, with investigations into the dangerous driving incident ongoing.

Organisers respond, confirm no injuries

Wonderland Fun Fest organisers released a statement acknowledging the incident and confirming no one was injured. “We would like to acknowledge an incident that occurred at Wonderland Fun Fest involving an unauthorised vehicle entering the event area,” they said. “We want to reassure everyone that thankfully, no one was injured.”

Organisers said they have taken further precautions for the event, which is due to continue as planned on Sunday night. “The safety of our guests, staff and families is incredibly important to us, and the police are currently investigating,” they said. “Thank you everyone for your understanding. We’re incredibly relieved that everyone is safe.”
