The family of a grandmother missing for almost three months has made an emotional appeal to the public for information.
Rita-Marie Collin, 60, was last seen walking along Woy Woy Rd in Kariong, on the NSW Central Coast, at about 10.45am on May 5.
Despite numerous multi-agency searches of the area and nearby bushland, including with specialist Dog Squad units, there has been no trace of her.
Daughter's plea
On Tuesday, the eve of the three-month anniversary of her disappearance, her daughter Amy Collin called on anyone with knowledge to come forward.
“To the world she may be a missing person, but to us she is Mum — a wife, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend,” she said.
“She is loved, she is missed, and we think about her every single day.”
Amy said the family will not let the case go unsolved and continues to hold hope.
“We wake up each day wanting answers, wanting to know where she is, and wanting to bring her home,” she said.
“Please don’t let another day pass without coming forward if you know something. Even the smallest detail could help us find Mum and give our family the clarity we’ve been desperately waiting for.”
Police concerns
Detective Inspector Paul Fenwick said investigators hold serious concerns for the grandmother’s welfare.
“(Collin) has now been missing for three months and despite extensive searches and public appeals, her whereabouts remain unknown,” Fenwick said.
“Multiple coordinated searches have been conducted across bushland in Kariong and along Woy Woy Road, but without new information, the investigation cannot move forward.”
Collin is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, with a slim build, blonde hair and green eyes.
She was last seen wearing denim jeans, a denim-style jacket with a black T-shirt underneath and carrying a white bag.
