Three men have been arrested and charged with kidnapping and drug supply after two men were allegedly abducted during a soured cocaine deal in Western Sydney.
Alleged kidnapping during drug transaction
Police allege that at about 5.30pm on April 19, a group of five men armed with firearms and electronic stun devices bashed two victims on Ironside Street in St Johns Park before kidnapping them. Investigations revealed the victims had intended to supply 6kg of cocaine to the group, but were instead attacked in an attempt to steal the drugs.
Search warrants lead to arrests and seizures
On Wednesday morning, police executed search warrants across Sydney's west and south, arresting three men. A search in Parramatta allegedly uncovered 7.5kg of methylamphetamine, 3.5kg of cocaine and ammunition, with an estimated street value of up to $3 million, according to police.
A 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he was charged with nine offences, including three counts of drug supply, two counts of robbery and two kidnapping charges. He is expected to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
Two other men, a 23-year-old from Casula and a 33-year-old from Arncliffe, were also arrested and charged with alleged offences including drug supply and kidnapping.
